This project began with a bait shop compilation created by Meghan Fenton in December 2025. Meghan's original list inspired this resource, and I developed it into an interactive website and searchable map to make it easier for anglers to find bait shops throughout Maine.
This website is built entirely from crowd-sourced information. While I make every effort to keep the information accurate and up to date, I cannot guarantee that every listing is complete or error-free. Most bait shops include a link to their individual page. I recommend contacting the shop directly to confirm their hours of operation and that they have the bait you need before making the trip.
